Bibbulmun track transfers – If you are walking the Bibb track and need to get across the Wilson inlet then we may have a transfer option that keeps the adventure going and lets you continue the journey under “person power” rather than having to get in a vehicle.
We can facilitate transfers across the Wilson inet by Open Canoe or Sea Kayak, the way that we do this allows your journey to continue seamlessly without having to rely on motor vehicles.
The transfer – You would meet up with your guide early in the morning (generally early has calmer wind conditions), your hiking equipment would be re-packed into the boats and waterproofed where required, we would then have a safety brief and put onto the water for a short practice paddle prior to heading out across the inlet.
Once organised and all briefings done the guide and yourselves would head out across the inlet from the Denmark river mouth to the opposite side of the inlet (the normal Bibb track transfer point). At the opposite side you would empty the boats, re-pack your gear and continue on your Bibb track adventure.
The guide will paddle back across the inlet towing the addition boat (or boats). There are options to paddle across in an open canoe or in sea kayaks (individual ability, experience and conditions may affect this choice)
The Wilson inlet is big, and can get pretty windy, so the transfer is both weather and ability dependent.
